Partnering With Other Web Sites
Continuing on the topic of Link Building...
If you have multiple web sites on the Internet, creating a partners page on your web site with some text about you other web site(s), maybe a nice picture (or a thumbnail) and a link to the web site, you will get the attention of Search Engines as well as visitors that want to see who your "partners" are.
If you keep partner pages in this form (text, a picture and a link), the links will be more valuable (in terms of Search Engine Optimization - SEO) as the links will be amongst other text and will inform visitors of what the web sites are about, you may get clicks as well as Search Engines recognising the links better as they're not in a "link list" but part of the content.
For those who do not have their own web sites to partner with should find other web sites that they can partner with. The general thing to ask for would be a reciprocal link. In which you place a link to their web site and they will place a link to your web site. Try getting a link or partnering with the place you work at, from friends or from other people you may meet in the same industry that can ask their webmaster to add a link.
There are so many ways to get links and with all these things kept in mind and put into practice, you will get a better Search Engine ranking.
